With cosmic rays, too. From my personal studies I seem to repetitionally be pointed at cosmic rays (you can see those on your average old tube TV - the black and white grizzly stuff) as a medium of sorts channeling astral energy. Since there are several different phenomena I can detect with my nervous system, and all in one way or another related to the orb topic, I suspect different frequencies to carry different type of gate energies, which essentially lead to different meanings as per se.
